Shop Manager 

The Shop Manager is to utilize his/her mechanical expertise to support the needs of the branch in a professional, safe and timely manner.  To be qualified, all applicants must have 1-3 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines, hydraulic equipment, and electrical components. The ideal candidate will have intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems. The candidate should also have strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines, a basic understanding of schematics and diagrams, own the tools applicable to perform the job, and exhibit teamwork, verbal, and written skills.

Responsibilities:

· Effectively communicates equipment issues with customers and supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction.

· Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair malfunctioning units using Cat Et and Cummins Insight software programs.

· Conducts preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs.

· Prepare and submit detailed, complete and legible service reports of all inspection and repairs performed using prescribed forms and procedures in a timely manner. 

· Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.

· Ability to read and comprehend moderately difficult computer-based schematics, specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, safety manuals, and other related publications. 

· Maintain an organized and neat bay.

· Performs other duties assigned as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience as mechanic with Heavy Equipment is      preferred.
  • Must be physically able to work in a jobsite      environment for extensive periods to include lifting up to 50lbs, bending,      squatting, crouching, and reaching.
  • Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred 
  • Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience preferred

Field/Shop Technician

Extreme Diesel is seeking an experienced Service Technician, who is a career-oriented individual interested in growing with the company.

DESCRIPTION:  Service Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing heavy equipment in our shop or in the field. 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively communicates equipment issues with      customers and supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot,      diagnose and repair malfunctioning units.
  • Conducts      preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs.
  • Prepare and submit detailed, complete and      legible service reports of all inspection and repairs performed using      prescribed forms and procedures in a timely manner. 
  • Keep supervisor regularly updated of status of      assigned repair jobs and assist in addressing customer questions and      concerns.
  • Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in      performing technical activities.
  • Ability to read and comprehend moderately      difficult computer-based schematics, specifications, service and parts      literature, technical bulletins, safety manuals, and other related      publications. 
  • Maintain an organized and neat bay/truck.
  • Possible nights and weekends as needed. 
  • Performs other duties assigned as assigned by      the manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

· Technical training of equipment is preferred

· 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment industry.

· Qualified applicants will have experience in trouble-shooting and repairing diesel-powered heavy equipment & trucks.

· Prior experience with Caterpillar equipment is preferred and CDL is a plus.

· Candidate must have basic computer skills.

· Candidate must maintain good work habits and presents a favorable business image towards customers served by the company. 

Dump Truck Driver - Trucking Division

DESCRIPTION:  Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a truck while maintaining orders to customer’s satisfaction.    

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to:

· Operate a truck safely while complying with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with all company policies and procedures.

· Must accurately complete logs and reports daily.

· Perform daily truck cleanings and inspections (i.e. pre-operation walk around, check fluid levels (oil, water, fuel), examine for leaks and wear and tear etc.).

· Ability to work overtime, both scheduled and unscheduled, in order to meet the needs of our customers.

· Familiar with streets and highways.

· Current medical card, minimum Class B CDL, pass DOTD physical. 

· Performs other duties assigned as assigned by the manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

· 2 years of truck driving experience.

· Basic reading and writing skills.
